Introduction text from the CD-booklet:

It was about a year ago that Golden Earring were invited by a well listened to Dutch radio show to do an "unplugged" all acoustic session.
I remember the guys were a little paranoid about the whole thing - quite understandable - because after all we know what they sound like on stage and the "Bigger than Life" type of rock they project. Well the whole thing turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable for the band and everybody else involved. Feeling a lot more confident about this whole 'unplugged" business they did another radio show with once again very satisfying results. It was just a small step after that to decide to do an acoustic livealbum, instead of a fully electric one. After all Golden Earring has two of those out already.. remember?! They'd been busy with all kinds of personal projects before they got together early this summer and started rehearsing at Barry's house. Two brand new songs were added; the whole thing was launched on september 7th at the Grand Cafe "De Kroon" on the Rembrandt Square in Amsterdam. They did 3 shows for a small audience of fans, friends & family. A film crew was present on the last night and you're sure to catch the visual excitement and joy of that show on your screen one day. Meanwhile all I can say is that, even though Cesar was playing a miniature drumkit, Rinus was fondling a stringbass, George and Barry were holding acoustic guitars: Golden Earring still manages to sound like a fullblooded-asskicking Rock and Roll band.
I guess that's just the: "Naked Truth".

Yours truly John Sonneveld
